Now the finished skirt has been a long time coming … It was sewn very quickly, but unfortunately I didn’t find the time to write a blog post. Right now it is still quite stressful because we are going through a 3-month consultation for our Zero Waste online shop, which currently costs a lot of time and energy. That’s why I decided to suspend the May project for the time being and then start a new project in June. May is traditionally reserved for Me-Made-May anyway, so I want to concentrate on that so that I can show one or the other outfit on Instagram. Will you take part in Me-Made-May? But now back to the Skirt Calais. I didn’t sew it from normal striped fabric, but from bed linen that I thrifted from Humana. I still have a lot of fabric left, so maybe a matching top will be added. I really like the finished skirt and the large bow and since the skirt is so maritime, I named the pattern after the port city of Calais. During my semester abroad in France, I went on a trip to Calais and I can really recommend this lovely place. Unfortunately it was too foggy so that Icouldn’t see as far as England. I guess, I have to go there again đ
