In contrast to my last outfit post, I’m very happy with today’s background. For the pictures I chose again the Museumsinsel (museum island) as a background, which is one of my absolute favourite places in Berlin. As the name already gives away, a lot of museums are located on this island and the Pergamon museum is probably the most famous among them. Additionally, there is a nice antiques and book fleamarket every Saturday and Sunday directly at the Bode Museum. And as you can see, there are quite many photogenic spots like the Dom or Kolonnadenhof. To relax at the end of the day I can highly recommend a cold drink at the Strandbar. It’s just so relaxing to sit comfortably in one of their deck chairs and watch the ships pass by on the Spree. My favourite place during summer time!

Polka dots have somehow never been my thing. I always found them to be too feminine for my style and to be honest I thought they were a little conservative. This changed last year when I was looking for a nice fabric to sew a sample of my Grande Arche dress and fell in love with a large and irregular polka dot fabric. This was quickly followed by the small scale polka dot of today’s blouse. Luckily, polka dot patterns are very on trend during spring/summer 2018. Of course, this classical pattern has never been completely out of style but it has also not been very present on the runways in recent years. This year they are enjoying a great revival and they have even made to the 3rd spot in my wardrobe right behind stripes and gingham. You can find even more inspiration around polka dots on my Pinterest Board. However, I still find it more challenging to style a polka dot garment. My first try with this blouse looked very secretary thanks to the black leather pencil skirt I styled it with. I definitely like it much better in the style of today’s outfit 🙂
Alles perfekt 😉
Liebe Grüße, SaSa
