Even though I have been sewing for more than 20 years (I have started very early and I’m actually older than I look 😉 ), I still sometimes get very nervous when I’m about to cut into a very special or very expensive material. That’s how I felt with this silk fabric with icecream print, which I loved right away when I spotted it online and just had to have. When the fabric arrived, I wasn’t so sure anymore about the print as it was much bigger than I had expected and also I did not like how the icecream cones looked right next to my face. So I had to scrap my initial idea of a short sleeved blouse. In the end, I decided to sew a v-neck top from a Burda pattern as it tones down the print and also I like the summery shape with this summery print.
