me-made pattern 121 Burdastyle November 2012
Hyde Park – Pop-Art Floral Dress
I’m glad that the Me-Made-Mittwoch is finally back from its summer break as it seems like the German sewing enthusiasts are falling into hibernation during this time. I really missed the weekly inspiration and, thus, can’t wait to click through the creative collection tonight after work. Matching the new dress of the Me-Made-Mittwoch blog, I’m showing you my newest dress. Okay, it’s not exactly new as it has been finished for some months and also had a quick appearance during the last week of Me-Made-May. Nevertheless, I like it so much that it deserves its own entry. I instantly fell in love with this fabric, when I spied it at the fabric swap of the sewing blogger meet-up in Stuttgart. The dress pattern I used is also an old acquaintance. Hard to believe but it is almost the same pattern as the one I used for this black knit dress. The bodice pattern is exactly the same, I only used the pleated skirt from no. 121 for this version. Certainly, a great dress pattern that can be made up in many different versions. Therefore, the dress does not look too kitschy, I combined it with a leather jacket and white sneakers. I really like those contrasts in an outfit and it was perfect for the London weather and a day spent running around. What do you think about it?
